Magellan GPS Deal for Iphone and Ipod Touch - $40 discount

I have a Magellan "top of the line" GPS Navigation system, but growing up in LA has me not trusting to leave it in my car at anytime. But with the "slimmer cut" jeans these days, there is simply no room to carry a GPS in your pocket, along with a wallet, and your Iphone. Well, my fellow style freaks and electronic geeks, a solution is found; I just scooped the Magellan Roadmate 2010 app for my Iphone, and boom, now my Iphone is my GPS Navigation device.

The Roadmate 2010 app is compatible with Iphone 3G and 3GS, as well as the Ipod Touch (2nd generation). While buying a decent GPS system will set you back about $150-250, but you can get the Roadmate 2010 Iphone App now until Jan 3rd 2010 for only $59.99, (that's a $40 discount!).

There's a whole lot of features in this app, and it still blows my mind that my Iphone is now talking to me giving "turn by turn voice navigation." Now of course with any new product, there are some bugs and minor fixes, but the great thing is, you know there will be continual updates through the Iphone.

Have a great New Years everyone, and I hope you find your direction and stay on course in 2010!

The Product:

More Black Friday Sales - Dig Lifestyles + Fitted - Hawaii Hot Spots

So you want more, yes you do, Black Friday is always out of control and here's 2 more best places to shop in Hawaii for the best gear hookups, Dig Lifestyles and Fitted Hawaii.

DIG LIFESTYLES
Dig Lifestyles is located in the Ward Warehouse, just across from the homies at In4mation. Dig carries brands such as Hot Air, Orisue, and one of my favorites Dita Eyewear. This urban gear hotspot is not only known for having some of the sickest gear, but they bring some of the best talent to the island including Q-Tip, Mos Def, and Talib Kweli. Dig Lifestyles is legit, pay them a visit if you're blessed enough to be in beautiful Honolulu. Check out their Black Friday sale and hook yourself up.

FITTED HAWAII
Now if you're looking for some sick fitted caps to cover your dome with, and you happen to be a lucky sucker on the island of Oahu, then you gotta go check out the super cap shop Fitted Hawaii. Yes, you will find things there that you won't find anywhere else in the world, if you happen to stroll in at the right time. They have a Black Friday Sale with some dope Black Friday releases, you better go now, because I think it's already on and poppin'.

All I know is I'm sending out one of my Hawaii fam to go scoop me up a bunch of stuff from Kicks HI, In4mation, Dig Lifestyles, and Fitted Hawaii, because you can never have too much Aloha in your life, especially when it's as fresh as what these cats are bringing to the scene. So if you're on the island, or just visiting, there's no excuse not to go drop some dough at these Best Urban Boutiques in Hawaii.

Big ups to all the Hawaii Fam, I'll see you in a few!

Black Friday Sales: Kicks HI and In4mation - Hawaii Hot Spots

All the Long Beach heads are heading to Proper for their Black Friday sale, well, where's all the Hawaii fam heading? Yep, that's right, the spots that I ultimately have to get to every time I'm at my home away from home, Kicks HI and In4mation. Just as I vouch for the owners of Proper, cats like DJ Delve at Kicks HI and Todd Shimabuku at In4mation have been down with Up Above Records, the Visionaries, and all of our affiliates for nearly a decade, and not only am I a fan of their stores and product, but I have a respect for how they carry themselves in what could be a rather pretentious world of fake fashionistas and jockers.

KICKS HI:
Now the homies at Kicks HI have been doing it right for years now, I'm sure you've heard of the famous "Aloha Dunk" that helped the world recognize this top-tier sneaker shop in Hawaii. Whether they're coming from the New York, Los Angeles or Tokyo, heads have to visit one of Kicks HI two locations when they visit Honolulu. With an extraordinary selection of shoes you probably can't find in most sneaker shops around the world, along with unique Kicks HI gear that captures the HI state of mind, you'll definitely load up when you stop by their Makaloa or Ward Center locations. You won't want to miss the Black Friday One Day Sale, checkout the flyer for details.

IN4MATION
With a lot of people trying to "come up" in the trendy urban boutique market, the fellas at In4mation are serious heads: seriously humble and seriously passionate about representing the movement correctly with respect and knowledge of the circles they are down with. The fam at In4mation are lacing up customers on Black Friday as well. You're probably well aware of the collaborations they've done with Vans, Diamond, Gravis, etc., and their clothing line is a favorite amongst my homies with a discriminating design sense. I've heard that their latest In4mation x Vans Half Cab has just arrived, and should be released sooner than soon, so don't sleep on becoming an In4mation insider so you don't miss the release. In4mation has locations at the Ward Warehouse, their Aloha Army shop at Waikiki Beachwalk, and the brand new store in Pearlridge. Check out their Black Friday Sale this Give Thanks weekend.

Happy Shopping people, spend all of your money at the right places!

Proper Shoe Store - Black Friday Sale - 25% off

It seems that with the whole sneaker craze, everyone and their mother's (figuratively and literally) are rocking the latest limited edition freshest kicks. With all the hyper crazy color-ways, over usage of the elephant print, and other textures, there's so much visual noise out there, or should I say, down there on peoples feet that I find myself clinging on to my classic basic styles.

Well enough with my rant, one of my favorite shops that just happens to be a few blocks away from me as well, is Proper in the East Arts Village in Long Beach, CA. The store's owners are humble, have a style sensibility and historical respect for great design, unlike what you would experience from many other "too cool for school" boutiques.

I can't remember the last time, or ever, that I've seen any "Sale" at Proper, so take this as big news for this coming Black Friday.

STORE: PROPER
DEAL: 25% the entire shop
DATE: 11.27.2009 (Black Friday)
ADDRESS: 425 E 1st St
Long Beach, CA 90802-4905

Creative Recreation Shoes Parking Lot Sale at Sportie LA

Creative Recreation is one of my favorite shoe brands and for good reason; their styles are original, edgy, and owner Rich One is a very good friend of mine. For those who don't know, Rich "One" Confinco has been in the shoe industry for years, formerly designing for Vans, launching other boutique shoe brands, and finally, grinding on Creative Recreation for somewhere around a decade. Rich One is a ultra-talented artist who has designed art for many of his neighborhood homies including the first 12" single cover for Up Above Records "Can U Hear It," the first 2 Visionaries album covers, and the Visionaries "Eyecon" logo. Rich's circle of friends and family include the Beat Junkies, Visionaries, and the owners of Crooks & Castles. While everyone knows that I'm a shoe head, well, Rich One is one of the O.G.'s when you're talking sneakers, probably about a decade and a half appreciating kicks before the "sneaker craze."

As a graff writer, dancer, and consummate hip-hop head, Rich One lives by the philosophy of being original and adhering to the "NO BITING" ethic that has been seemingly lost in this generation of copy-cat, formula-stealing clones. Shortly after the Creative Recreation "Cesario" started gaining recognition from LA, Tokyo, to NYC, you will see the obvious "influences" the shoe had on designs from Puma to Nike. With that being said, you should know that Creative Recreation is just that:
Uber-Creative design in footwear for your Recreational activities.

Well, here's your chance to scoop some CRecs up at a "Parking Lot Sale" at Sportie LA.
Friday 10.23 through Sunday 10.25.2009
12 - 6 pm
Sportie LA
7753 Melrose Avenue
